JAMB UTME 2021 Registration Date: NIN Now Compulsory

 Hi, have you been waiting for JAMB to release the date for the commencement of 2021 JAMB Registration exercises? Here is a good news for you. Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the JAMB UTME 2021 Registration. 

Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Wednesday, the 24th day of  March 2021 in Abuja announced the date for the Registration of JAMB UTME and Direct Entry (DE).

The Board states that the use of National Identity Number (NIN) is now compulsory for everybody registering for both UTME and DE. The Registration is to take place in over 700 centers across the Country. The list is available in all state offices and JAMB's website: www.jamb.gov.ng

This announcement is contained in a statement made by JAMB's Head of Media and Publicity, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, on Wednesday, the 24th day  of March, 2021 in Abuja.

Dr. Benjamin states that NIN is compulsory for candidates applying for 2021 JAMB UTME and DE.

According to him, "For any person to be registered for UTME/DE, he/she must supply his/her National Identity Number (NIN), it is therefore mandatory for participants in the 2021 Registration Exercise.

The Registration will take place in 700 centers across the Country and JAMB Offices allover the states and FCT-Abuja. The list is available in all state offices and JAMB's website: www.jamb.gov.ng

"The approved schedule for registration and examination are as follows: Registration exercise will start on Thursday, 8th April and end on Saturday, 15th May 2021.

"Candidates are also to note that the Registration for DE applicants would run concurrently with the UTME Candidates.

"Optional Mock will be held on Friday, 30th April 2021 "for those who indicated interest and registered before 24th of April, 2021.

"The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination would hold from Saturday, 5th to Saturday, 19th June 2021.

"The venue of the examination will be at any of the centers in the candidate's chosen town.

"The registration fee for the 2021 application documents is #3,500 and #500 for the recommended Reading Text.

"Information regarding other registration processes and requirements would be made available on the Board's website and advertised in the electronic and print media from 5th April 2021," it said.
