Create JAMB Profile Code: Follow Steps Below

 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made it compulsory for any candidate registering  JAMB UTME or Direct Entry (DE) to first of all create JAMB profile code before proceeding to another step.

Before you could register anything on JAMB website you must as a matter of fact have your jamb profile code. This will enable jamb create a space for you in their portal and allow you to register your UTME or DE as the case maybe. 

JAMB introduced profile creation after the introduction of computer based Test (CBT) in 2013, making it mandatory for all jamb candidates to have it before proceeding to get their e-pin and subsequent registration in jamb accredited centers.

Meaning Of JAMB Profile

Jamb profile is a candidate's  account in JAMB created by the candidate before they proceeding to perform any registration in the JAMB website like UTME registration, correct errors, check jamb result, print original jamb result and accept or reject jamb caps admission status on the portal.

Jamb profile contains the candidate's name, sex, email address, phone number, LGA and state of origin, date of birth NECO or WAEC result, Nationality and passport photograph. Note, no two persons are allowed to use one phone number to get jamb profile code.

It is best to create your jamb profile when registration date for jamb 2021 has been announced by jamb and registration has started properly to avoid missing out on some important information that may be introduced by the Board.

How To Create JAMB Profile Code

Jamb profile code can be gotten using different methods or means as outlined below. Some of the methods includes through SMS, through jamb website, with NIN and through JAMB app.  Just relax and go through all of them and choose the best mothed that is good for you. Create JAMB Profile using SMS:

Using SMS is the best and the easiest way to get jamb profile code. it is easy, fast and simple.

Just send NIN to 55019 to get your jamb profile code for UTME or DE. A confirmation code will be sent to the phone number used in sending the SMS. Use the code to get your e-pin.

How To Create JAMB Profile on JAMB website:

To create jamb profile through jamb website, follow the steps below;

• Go to JAMB website.
• login to create e-facility account/login located at the top of the page.
• click on create New Account.
• Type in your email address.
• Select Security Question.
• Enter your Security Answer.
• Verify your email.

• To verify your email, login to your email and click on the link that is sent to you by JAMB to verify it. Check the mail under update/primary or your spam folder, but if you can't still find it, you don't have to panic as sometimes it takes time to arrive. so you have to wait for the mail before you continue.
• click on "click here to continue your profile creation".

• when it opens, Fill in the necessary details.
• After, click on create account.
• After creating the account, Login to with your email and password to view your profile.

Creating JAMB Profile Using NIN:

JAMB has made the use of NIN compulsory for all candidates applying for both JAMB and Direct Entry. To get your profile using NIN, text NIN to 55019, this will deduct #50 from your airtime. So before you send the message, ensure you have more than #50 in your phone and you are good to go.

Create JAMB Profile Using JAMB Mobile App;

Follow the steps below;

1. Download the JAMB Mobile app for android from the Google play store
2. Install the App downloaded in your phone
3. Open the App and it will display something like this

1. Click on Sign Up
2. Enter your Email address
3. Confirm your email address
4. Click and select any security question of your choice but try to remember it as it can be helpful while logging in or resetting your password
5. Answer the Security question you have chosen
6. Confirm your security Answer
7. Click Continue
8. on the next page that opens, type in your password and confirm it
9. Type in your Details, Date of Birth and confirm your Date of birth
10. Enter your Country, State and Local Government of Origin
11. Click on Sign Up. 

Once you have created your JAMB Profile, you can proceed to any accredited JAMB CBT center near you to register your JAMB successfully.
